Wi-Fi enable your NetVanta network with a NetVanta 160 or 161 lightweight Access Point (AP).
Providing 802.11a/b/g/n radio support at speeds up to 300 Mbps, these business-class APs are perfect for the corporate environment needing a secure, integrated WLAN solution.
The NetVanta 160/161 are ideally suited for organizations requiring true enterprise mobility. Designed for environments and applications that require high capacity, scale and speed, these access points provide predictable and reliable wireless coverage that improve client performance and the end-user experience.
Hardware
These 802.11n access points support 2 x 300 Mbps streams and include a Gigabit Ethernet port —delivering market leading coverage and throughput. The NetVanta 160/161 APs are fully functional with the power delivered by a single-port 802.3af PoE solution.
Wireless VoIP and Video
Leveraging ADTRAN's technology leadership, the NetVanta 160/161 APs are engineered to support the requirements of high-speed wireless technologies, emerging bandwidth intensive applications and latency sensitive services such as voice and video.
Virtual Access Points
The NetVanta 160/161 employs Virtual Access Points (VAPs), the equivalent of wireless Virtual LANs (VLANs). Each radio in the NetVanta 160/161 supports up to eight VAPs, enabling enterprise customers to securely segment their wireless network traffic.
Unmatched Security
The NetVanta 160/161 APs support local MAC authentication, 802.1x port-based authentication, Wireless Protected Access (WPA), and 802.11i (WPA2) with multiple Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP) methods for user authentication such as PEAP, FAST, TTLS, AKA, SIM and TLS.
Antenna Options
To meet customers' specific requirements, ADTRAN offers internal and external antenna options. The NetVanta 160 access point features an internal, six antenna array for standard coverage. The NetVanta 161 access point features six external RP-SMA connectors for specialized antennas that are commonly used in the deployment of outdoor or directional antennas.
