In cellular backhaul operations, TRACER 6000 Series radios offer a flexible, grow-as-you-go solution to varying bandwidth requirements throughout a network. These modular, 1U radios accept two Quad T1, Quad E1, or Quad 10/100Base-T Ethernet cards for up to 16 Mbps of total bandwidth. With TRACER 6000 Series radios, you need only one model of radio to support from one to eight T1/E1 or four 10/100Base-T Ethernet ports, or a combination of these services. This simplifies network topography, minimizes sparing, and creates a single point of contact for technical support issues. TRACER 6000 Series radios can be managed using any standards-based SNMP management platform.
LAN Extension Plus T1s for Voice
TRACER 6000 Series modular radios offer flexible bandwidth options for converged voice and data applications over a point-to-point wireless link. Dual module slots and user-selectable bandwidth from one to eight T1 configurations, including wayside T1s for voice. The quad bridge/switch module enables 10/100Base-T bridging, Local Area Network (LAN) extension, and Layer 2 switching. TDM and Ethernet modules may be combined in the same chassis to support license-free wireless voice and data applications.
LAN Extension: Ethernet Bridging/Switching
Users seeking to connect high-speed LANs between buildings or across campuses can use the TRACER 5045 Wireless Bridge with integral Ethernet switch. TRACER 5045 provides a 45 Mbps full duplex wireless link for line-of-sight connections. Using one or more of the 10/100Base-T Ethernet ports, network managers can easily establish a connection to existing LAN networks, then extend connectivity to another location.

Secure Wireless Networking
The NetVanta Wi-Fi solutions offer business-class security features like shared key authentication, MAC authentication, as well as Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP), Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA), and WPA2 support. In this case, the NetVanta 150 is using 802.1x user authentication with a Radius Server to authenticate valid users accessing the corporate wireless network and provides central password/user management. Together these security standards ensure a highly protected business-class wireless network infrastructure.
Virtual Access Points to Segment Wireless LAN
The NetVanta Wi-Fi solutions employ Virtual AccessPoints (VAPs), the equivalent of wireless Virtual LANs (VLANs).
